Table form/Flying form
A table form/flying form is a large preassembled formwork and falsework unit, often forming a complete bay of a suspended floor slab. It provides quick installation for projects with regular plan layouts and is routinely used for residential flats, hotels, offices and commercial buildings. Individual falsework components are connected to form the complete table, with a plan area of up to about 100m2. The formwork can be mounted on wheels, allowing it to be moved horizontally.
The assembled table formwork units are rolled into position and the joints sealed. Reinforcement is fixed and the concrete for the slab is cast. Once the concrete has achieved sufficient strength, the complete table is lowered, rolled out from under the slab and moved by crane to the next position.
