Crystalline water-resisting admixtures

Crystalline water-resisting admixtures contain ingredients that can react with water and components of the cement to form hydrates in the capillaries and microcracks of the hardened concrete. While essentially pore blockers, this mechanism may provide some ongoing crack-sealing properties.
