Testing of concrete
Testing of fresh concrete (and its constituent materials) will normally be carried out during production to ensure that it complies with the specification. Tests may be carried out on the hardened concrete, either to check for compliance shortly after construction or as part of a wider investigation. Tests may be carried out on the concrete itself in situ or on samples removed and tested in the laboratory. Many tests are covered by European, British or other International Standards.
