Spacers and visual concrete

To achieve the specified concrete cover to reinforcement, separation between the form-face and the reinforcement is provided by the use of a spacer or chair. There are a variety of spacers available. Some spacers will be inappropriate for visual concrete as they can be seen when the concrete is struck.
