Strengthening with FRP plate

Workmanship is a key aspect of the use of externally-bonded fibre composite plates for strengthening concrete structures. TWI Certification (www.cswip.com) has developed a certification scheme under CSWIP-FRP-06, Requirements for the certification of installers and supervisors of FRP plate strengthening of structures

As indicated, the scheme covers two types of personnel, namely Installers of FRP strengthening systems and Supervisors. Installers are required to take a practical examination as well as a theoretical one, while for Installers only a theoretical examination is required. Both grades require a level of prior experience.
