Roof elements (BS EN)

The requirements, basic performance criteria and the evaluation of conformity for special precast roof elements made of reinforced or prestressed normal weight concrete are covered by:

BS EN 13693: Precast concrete products – Special roof elements.

This covers thin-walled structural elements such as folded plates or shells that are specifically designed for roofing under typical loads. Secondary structural components that may be used in combination with the main roof elements, such as roof light frames, are not included.
