Radon

Guidance on radon is provided at in the Buiilding Regulations Approved Document C. The Approved Document under paragraph 2.39 refers to BRE publication BR 211 (2007). This only covers England & Wales and has been replaced BRE - Guidance on protective measures for new buildings (including supplementary advice for extensions, conversions and refurbishment projects), 2015 and covers the UK. As such it also replaces BRE Report BR 376 and BR 413 which covered Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively.

In areas at risk from Radon, testing can be undertaken. Contact the BRE radon team on 01923 664707. They will be able to advise about where you can go for a test and what to do when you have the result of a test. You can also visit the radon website at BRE
