Pipes and drainage (BS EN)

The British Standards for pipes and drainage are being replaced by European standards. This is a gradual process, so checking the current status is important before using in a specification.

BS EN 1916, Concrete pipes and fittings, unreinforced, steel fibre and reinforced

BS EN 1917, ´Concrete manholes and inspection chambers, unreinforced, steel fibre and reinforced´

These standards are running in parallel with parts of BS 5911 [see separate entry Pipes and drainage (BS)], which they will eventually replace.

Note that some parts of BS 5911 have not yet been covered by an equivalent BS EN.
