Reducing crazing

Avoiding the following can reduce the occurrence of crazing:
- over-rich or excessively wet mixes
- over-vibration
- excessive finishing.

Formwork with low absorbency should be avoided as this is much more likely to produce a surface layer with higher permeability than the main body of concrete. Continuous curing should be applied, avoiding cycles of wetting and drying.
