Fresh concrete testing
To gauge the rheological (fluid) properties of fresh concrete a series of tests are available. These are tailored to the consitency of the required concrete e.g. a stiff concrete may be assessed using ´degree of compactability test´ where as a flowing concrete by a ´flow table test´. Other tests on fresh concrete include the setting time and air content. The most common method is the ´slump test´.
