Bridge cantilever construction - cable stayed

Cable-stayed bridges can be built as a cantilever construction. Here, the stays are placed and stressed as soon as a segment is either cast in-situ or transported to position. The connection of the new segment to the previous part of the deck is either by post-tensioned or un-stressed reinforcement.
