Standardised prescribed - ready-mixed concrete

Standardised prescribed concretes are selected form a restricted list in BS 8500 and made with a restricted range of materials as detailed in the standard (known as Standard mixes in BS 5328). The assessment of the mix proportions will form an essential part of the conformity (compliance) requirements.

These mixes are appropriate where concrete is site batched on a small scale or obtained from a ready-mixed supplier who does not have third-party accreditation.
