If you undertake an internet search for concrete and horse urine you will find many ‘experts’ claiming that special concrete needs to be used in stable floors to protect the concrete from being attacked by horse urine. Horse urine is actually alkaline, does not cause concrete to deteriorate and is no more damaging to concrete than urine from any other domesticated animal.
What does cause wear to concrete floors in stables and yards is the metal horse shoes.
