Compacting & finishing
Fresh concrete must be compacted to ensure that it fully surrounds the reinforcement and completely fills the formwork or moulds. Excess air must be removed from the concrete. The top surface of the compacted concrete must be finished to the required level and surface appearance. A range of equipment is available for the various tasks.
