In-situ methods
Most construction is carried out in-situ. The main steps in the construction process are the provision of suitable formwork (supported by falsework where necessary); fixing reinforcement in the required location; placing, compacting and finishing the concrete; curing the concrete. Finally some structural elements may be post-tensioned.
