Concrete - normal types
Concrete can be classified in many ways. For the majority of applications, the following headings are applicable;
- reinforced,
- unreinforced,
- lightweight,
- heavyweight,
- prestressed,
- and air entrained concrete.
Where the characteristics of a concrete need to be modified beyond these normal types, specialist additives, admixtures, cements and aggregates can be used to enhance or the provide the specified properties.
