Who would analyse a sample of concrete found at a crime scene?
Major crime laboratories throughout the world conduct crime-scene investigation including the analysis of man-made materials derived from geological raw materials (concrete, mortar, bricks etc.). Trace evidence may be transferred onto the body, person, clothing of a victim or an offender, or onto vehicles or objects from and to a crime scene.
Such evidence would be interpreted by a forensic geologist and can help with crime reconstruction.
