This year´s ICT Convention is the 53^rd in total and the 4th in the series “The Pursuit of Net Zero Concrete”. It has the sub-theme “Materials, Design, and Practical Applications”.

It is clear the environmental concerns about the legacy of Portland Cement based concretes is being taken seriously at National and International levels. Consequently, it is in our own self-interest to be aware of changes and trends that are taking place. However, there are various options both research and technology based that appear to offer solutions and benefits that are commercially relevant.

The problem of selecting the best or most appropriate that can offer answers on a construction engineering scale. This convention will aid making such judgements that can then be adopted by concrete specifiers, suppliers and users.

This Convention will address four main topics namely Cement, Aggregates, Concrete and Structures. Speakers will be drawn from these sectors with an emphasis on pragmatic outcomes.

As with all ICT Conventions, there will be opportunity to talk to question and socialise with the speakers coupled with both ICT members and non-members.
