The Neville Centre Symposium

University of Leeds
Neville Centre of Excellence - University of Leeds (Click here to view in Googlemaps)

The Neville Centre of Excellence reflects the eminent and unique history of Leeds academics (Evans, Neville, Beeby, Cabrera and Page) and the leadership that they have provided to concrete research. The current academic staff (Basheer, Purnell, Richardson, Black, Garcia-Taengua, Nikitas, Forth and indirectly, Tsavdaridis, Sheng, Yang and Sarhosis) are also active in this area across the nano to macro scale; a spectrum which is unique to Leeds.
There are many successful examples of equivalent Centres in other fields of expertise across Europe, hence the ambition for the Neville Centre here in the UK; we believe that there is a great potential for the Centre to make lasting academic and industrial impact in an area which is yet to be exploited and which so naturally exploits the inherent capabilities of the School of Civil Engineering.
