ICT 46th annual Convention Symposium - Special Projects: concrete – the material of choice

Summary

Concrete is unquestionably the most widely used construction material globally. The reasons for this are wide ranging but exemplified when its use make high performance demands on major projects. This symposium, held during the ICT 46th annual Convention, will show exemplar projects and the concrete reasons that underwrite them. The Convention, which is open to non-members, also includes the 10th Sir Frederick Lea Memorial Lecture, presented this year by Professor Karen Scrivener, HonFICT. Speakers: The panel includes Prof Karen Scrivener (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), Peter Abel (BYLOR), Martyn Back (Costain), Dr Marc Ottelle (Delft University, Netherlands), Mike Moriarty and Richard Hunt (LKAB), Javier Neito (Esteyco, Spain) and others, chaired by Prof Peter Hewlett.
